Hello!  We are so excited to be introducing our new company DoorMatX.  I’m Boone Putney, founder of DoorMatX.

I’ve lived in Austin for nearly three decades and seen a lot of changes over the years.  This place has grown beyond belief, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the dedication to individual expression and art.

This whole company came about about because the only doormats I could find to welcome visitors to my home were the bland and generic options available at the large retailers.  Selections were poor and the options that did exist didn’t say anything about who I was beyond being a passive supporter of floral patterns and generic greetings.

I’m so excited to present this website to you along with our initial design based on the iconic “Hi How Are You” artwork by Daniel Johnston.
